Job Description:

Software Engineer will be responsible for software development primarily in a C/C++ environment. Tridium is looking for creative individual who is an enthusiastic problem solver.

  • Familiar with cross-platform development
  • Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux or Windows CE a plus

Manufacturing/Production Engineer – Honeywell requisition number 00087015

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is an exciting role because it encompasses all aspects of manufacturing engineering on a smaller scale while providing challenges working with leading edge hardware design in a high growth company.  Production Engineer will be the sole contact working with hardware design from concept to production to ensure manufacturability including ergonomic assembly. Production engineer will support the Tridium Assembly and Distribution Center and other remote manufacturing facilities both globally and locally which assemble and license Tridium Products. Assembly and Distribution center is ~5000 square feet with ~ 6 assemblers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Operations Management to develop process documentation, process control strategy, and production control requirements to ensure smooth production implementation of new products
  • Works with hardware design group to review engineering designs for manufacturability and recommends improvements based on the need to insure most efficient means of product assembly and testing.
  • Maintains PCBA (Printer Circuit Board Assembly) test fixtures insuring proper operation
  • Develops tools, fixtures and assembly processes to maximize manufacturing throughput and insure best ergonomic assembly practices.
  • Develops and controls documentation necessary for product assembly and testing. 
  • Develops product routings and enters them into Oracle manufacturing module
  • Works with Manufacturing Manager to develop product standard costs.
  • Maintains PC workstations by upgrading software applications and commissioning software as required
  • Provides production engineering support to remote manufacturing facilities producing and licensing Tridium products

 Basic Qualifications

  • BS Engineering Technology, Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or 10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • At least five years experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • At least two years of experience using PCs and Microsoft’s Window XP products
  • At least two years experience using Microsoft’s WORD, EXCEL, and ACCESS products
  • Working knowledge of Volt meter usage, soldering, and usage of basic electronic hand tools

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or equivalent Enterprise system desirable

We are seeking qualified candidates for a key position of Engineering Technical Specialist at Tridium, one of Honeywell's companies located in Richmond, VA.

The Engineering Technical Specialist is part of the Tridium engineering team, a leading and growing team that develops industry leading software frameworks and hardware for use in device to the enterprise applications in the fields of building automation, industrial control, medical devices, Man-to-Machine (M2M) and home automation. In this position, you will work closely with or Engineering and Manufacturing to create the Bill of Materials, identify and procure key components and generate basic assembly drawings for new product releases. These actions will support our five-year Strategic Plan and ensure delivery of these new products according to the business plan.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Works closely with Engineering to generate Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Identify and source key components for sample and engineering builds.
  • Participating in regular project status meetings.
  • Maintaining open communication with project team, clients, and when applicable, external vendors.
  • Coordinates and processes Engineering Change Orders and revision level control.
  • Communicate project status cross functionally.
  • Able to modify and generate simple assembly drawings using Visio, AutoCAD and or Pro-E

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Design or Technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in new product development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Tridium, inventor of the Niagara Framework, is the world leader in platform software for building device to enterprise solutions serving the markets for building control, industrial automation, energy information systems, and Man-to-Machine (M2M) applications.We are seeking a self-motivated qualified professional to join our Technical Support team who has experience in trouble shooting software used in energy, security, industrial and commercial automation industry. Experience or knowledge of Niagara Based applications will be a plus but not a must, training will be provided. This position is based in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical support via phone, e-mail and remote access/diagnostics for Niagara based hardware and software solutions.
  • Manage priorities and document all support inquiries in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database in a clear and concise manor.
  • Follow up to ensure issue resolution and customer satisfaction. Perform root cause analysis on support incidents.
  • Identify and document issues and trends.
  • Apply software maintenance releases and updates for customers via remote access.
  • Provide support to the software quality assurance group by creating test lab system environments.
  • Create, edit and review technical documentation for new releases and new products.
  • Create and review knowledgebase content.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Engineering.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting experience involving Microsoft Windows products, Linux and TCP/IP Networking.
  • Programming experience, Java or C++.
  • Experience with mark-up languages, HTML or XML.
  • SQL database experience.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial control systems a plus.
