Education Outreach Program

With an ongoing dedication to building automation and facility management education, Tridium is committed to educate the next generation of Building Automation and Control specialists through it's Education Outreach Program. The program increases knowledge about integration and interoperability among building system students, and prepares them to meet increasing demands for cost-effective and efficient facilities.

Industry drivers such as intelligent building control technology, IP connectivity, Web-enabled convergence and open communication protocols, along with building owners’ increasing demand for better buildings that are cost-effective, energy efficient, smarter and sustainable are creating a growing demand for skilled professionals within the building construction industry.

Tridium’s Niagara Framework^® is a powerful platform that enables disparate control systems to work seamlessly together through a common user interface. Endorsed by leading providers of control systems for building automation and controls market, Niagara is a robust solution that encompasses building automation, energy management, security, lighting control and fire alarm from a single user interface, in a non-proprietary form. Engineers and technicians who enter the building construction industry would be better prepared knowing the existence of and applications for this technology.

The endeavor is an ideal interaction between industry and education. Tridium is expanding the program and intends to add schools over the next several years. Participating schools will have access to the latest cutting-edge building automation technology and learning materials that all leading building automation system integrators use, as well as access to the latest integration learning tools and industry experts.

The Education Outreach program is a collaborative relationship with selected colleges/universities/technical schools that offer building automation program studies and course curriculum, who are interested in adding curriculum about smart buildings, integration, and interoperability.
